Groups and meetings

Valamo Monastery offers a peaceful and distraction-free environment for meetings, training sessions and corporate and private functions for groups of up to 300 people. Restaurant Trapesa provides a unique venue for special occasion family gatherings. 

The Valamo Monastery area has various conference rooms ranging in capacity, from the Cultural Centre’s large conference room (seating 300) to compact suites seating 5 – 15 people. All rooms - apart from Red Guest Cabin’s meeting room - are equipped with Wi-Fi access.

The monastery’s restaurant offers an interesting choice of group menus, ranging from the abundant Slavic buffet to the Zakuska (Russian-style hors d'oeuvre) and to Valamo’s own evening tea menu. The unspoilt woodland and lakes are perfect for revitalisation.  We will be happy to arrange guided tours. Also small concerts, canal cruises as well as ski and snow shoe trips are available for visiting groups.

If required, the facilities of Valamo Lay Academy are also available for meetings.

The following audio-visual equipment is available: data projector, video cameras, speakers, microphones and slide and overhead projectors. Other specialist equipment may also be booked in advance.
