One of the monastery's most important meeting places is its cozy 260-seat Café-Restaurant Trapesa, which takes its name from the Greek word for table or monastery dining hall.

Outdoor trails

The monastery's most popular walking route leads the traveler to the adoring cross called the Traveler's Cross, which the brotherhood erected on the shore of Lake Juojärvi in the late 1980s. There are several outdoor trails of various lengths around the monastery.
