Course description

This course does not require you to know how to draw or paint, but you will unexpectedly discover these skills in yourself. New dimensions will open up for those who have been practicing for a longer time. During the days, there will be lectures on free art forms and exercises in image-making, in which the brush does not play the main role. Sometimes we will reflect and marvel at the feelings and insights produced by working together. The course will give you a boost of color, expressive skills and the joy of life. A spark for art can also flare up. The course has different contents and exercises for first-time and previous participants. You can work with your own colors and media in the course. Other than oil paints, it is also possible to use supplies brought by the teacher for the course's image exercises, for which there is a separate fee depending on the use of the materials (approx. €25). Please let us know when registering if you will be using the teacher's supplies. The teacher is visual artist (Master of Arts) and teacher of visual expression Kirsi Ryynänen.

This course uses the Epass mobile application as a payment method.

Teacher

Ryynänen Kirsi

Kirsi Ryynänen is a visual artist (Master of Arts) and a teacher of visual expression. Her own artistic work has been a part of Kirsi's life for almost 30 years. For Kirsi, making images is not only about expression, but also about seeing, experiencing and illustrating something meaningful. Kirsi has organized visual expression training and courses through the Piitta company for 15 years. She has had groups for individual course participants and numerous clients of cooperating parties, from social and health organizations to educational institutions. The key to her work is to guide participants to find their own unique way of expression and to strengthen their personal handiwork. This is liberating and produces experiences of success and increases self-knowledge. You can see Kirsi's works and read more about her work on Piitta's website, www.piitta.fi
