Theophany

The great celebrations of the church year bring a large number of pilgrims and guests who are fond of the Valamo atmosphere to Valamo every year. The peaceful atmosphere and atmospheric festive services create the best setting for celebrating the holidays. The monastery can also be visited during the day during the celebration.

The Feast of the Baptism of Christ, or Theophany, celebrated on the sixth of January, is the oldest celebration in Christendom after Easter.
