Course description

August of the Orthodox church year features two major feasts: the Transfiguration of Christ – which is the annual feast of the Valaam Monastery – and the Assumption, the Dormition of the Theotokos.   You can choose the subject of the icon to be painted in the course from these two.   In addition to practical work and guidance, we will go through the theological content of these icons.   The course is best suited to those who have been painting icons for a long time.   Please note that those under 35 years of age receive a 40 percent discount on the price of icon painting courses. The teacher is iconographer Alexander Wikström.
