But where can you find silence, prayer and connection that leads to a deeper knowledge of Christ?

Welcome to the course, where the Orthodox faith opens up as a living and holistic path towards God. The course is aimed especially at young people who want to delve into the spiritual heritage and theology of the Orthodox Church. The course teaches the Jesus Prayer, a prayer of the heart that can carry throughout life. At the same time, you will get to know monastic life by participating in the everyday life and obedience tasks of the Valamo Monastery - precisely where faith is seen as a concrete struggle. Conversations with the monastic community offer the opportunity to learn spiritual wisdom and get answers to the questions that you carry in your heart. The lives of the saints and their examples will open up in the course as a source of inspiration - as an indication of how you can follow Christ even in this time, in your own life. The course is not just about increasing your knowledge - it is a spiritual journey that will help you become more deeply rooted in the Orthodox faith.
