Finnish Sauna Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of June, celebrating the importance of the sauna in Finnish culture and lifestyle. Valamo Sauna Day offers a great opportunity to experience sauna traditions and enjoy the closeness of nature in the sacred area of Papinniemi.

Prepare your own sauna preparation under the guidance of priest monk Rafael, enjoy a relaxing sauna session in an idyllic lakeside sauna and refresh yourself with a dip in Lake Juojärvi. Explore the fascinating monastery environment and the Heavenly Light exhibition and museum, and participate in church services. The day is crowned with a delicious tea party, which offers taste experiences for all participants.
