Valamo Fishing Day Sat 18.4.2026 – fish in theology, music, fishing gear and on your plate!
Come experience the peace of the Valamo Monastery, where fish is the guest of honor for the day!
The day's program includes inspiring lectures, spiritual perspectives, a fish-themed concert and a panel discussion.
The day will be crowned with a fish dinner in the Red Hall of the Trapesa restaurant.
The hosts of the Fishing Day are passionate fishermen, a pianist and church musician Pami Karvonen and music journalist Risto Nordell.

10:30 a.m. Opening of the day with the theme of fishing luck and storiespianist and church musician Pami Karvonen and music journalist Risto Nordell
The opening of the day gets an interesting addition when Oras Tynkkynen, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Green Parliamentary Group, joins. Risto Nordell interviews Tynkky. The discussion will focus not only on fish but also on cultural themes.
