Valamo Monastery invites you to a warm and interesting Bee Day, which offers general educational information about bees, honey, biodiversity and beekeeping – as well as a touch of the monastery's spiritual perspective on creation.
During the day, you will hear lectures from experts, get to know the world of beekeeping and have the opportunity to participate in the monastery's church service. The event is especially suitable for anyone who is interested in nature, bees and the unique environment of Valamo. The content of the day offers plenty of learning opportunities for younger people too.
In addition, beekeepers in the area will have the opportunity to showcase their own activities through sales tables and a flea market for supplies. The goal of the day is not commercial profit, but to highlight local beekeeping expertise and promote respect for nature.

The North Karelian Beekeepers Association acts as a partner of the event and brings local expertise and valuable information about beekeeping and the importance of bees to nature.
The event will be held at the Valamo Cultural Center.
