Course description

The Cloth Icon, Mandylion, Hand-Made Christ Icon, in its apparent simplicity, impressively expresses the birth of the true God as a true man into this world.   Based on the topic, we will get to know the birth of the cloth icon in Eastern and Western art.   The starting point for the icon painted in the course can be the Hand-Made Icon painted on the reverse of the Konevitsala Icon of the Mother of God in the 16th century, or some other version.   The course is best suited for those who have already painted at least a few icons.   Please note that those under 35 years of age receive a 40 percent discount on the course price. The teacher is iconographer Alexander Wikström.
