Course description

Do you have stress, neck or back pain, breathing or voice problems? The reasons may lie in your reaction habits that have developed over the years, which cause neck tension, pressurizing your being and thus disrupting the body's natural functions. The Alexander Technique is a thinking-based learning method that you can use in any everyday activity and thus promote your own well-being. You learn to let go of unnecessary tension and restore the dynamic connection between the head, neck and back. This way, the muscles find a better balance as if by themselves. During the course, the teacher gently guides the student's body with her hands to find a purposeful way to act in everyday movements. Movement and work positions become lighter, neck and back pain subside. Breathing and voice find free flow. Presence deepens and the mind becomes alert. A natural posture is found without tension. In the course, we apply the thinking of the Alexander Technique to activities of our own choosing, such as walking, running, sitting at a computer, using our voice, lifting, playing an instrument, etc. The course is suitable for anyone interested in giving up harmful habits. Participation does not require any special fitness, and everyday use of the Alexander Technique improves muscle fitness. Teacher: Susanna Sillman, www.aatteella.fi
