The book takes us on a journey through the church year accompanied by the gospel texts. The basic starting point is the good news of how the Creator of the universe has approached man by becoming man himself, and how he continues to work among people to bring man fully and eternally alive in his own connection. The gospels are recorded stories of how God, who became man, Jesus Christ, lived and worked on earth, and how he suffered, died and rose from the dead as the victor over death. The ideas presented in the book emerge from the themes of the church year's gospel texts and celebrations. The text progresses through the church year from Easter to Easter. The book is written by Archimandrite Mikael, who is the abbot or leader of the Valaam Monastery. Bound, softcover, 296 pages.
