The day offers an opportunity to explore Greek Orthodox tradition and culture. In addition to a Greek-language service, the day includes a panel discussion, a Greek folk dance performance, and of course, Greek cuisine. Join us for a Greek day in Valamo – culture, discussions and experiences!
The price of the program is 90 €/person

The services will be held in the monastery's Main Church.
The meals and non-alcoholic beverages mentioned in the program are included in the package and are served at the café-restaurant Trapesa. Greek drinks are available for purchase during meals.
The event is organized by the Valamo Monastery in cooperation with the Friends of Greece in Kuopio.

at 15:00 “Orthodox customs in Greece” panel discussion.
Discussing the topic are Archimandrite Andreas, Anne Lukkarinen, who has made pilgrimages to Greece, and Katri Palpatzis, who has collected experiences from everyday Greek life
at 16:00 Coffee break in Greek style
at 16.30 Guided monastery tour, Father Stefanos
at 18:00 Vigil service, provided by the Valamo Monastery Brotherhood
at 20:00 Byzantine dinner
