The Valamo Monastery is a memorable destination for gatherings and group trips. The monastery's premises are ideal for holding meetings, intensive courses and other events that require a peaceful environment. Valamo also hosts many family and class reunions and various family celebrations. You can crown your visit with tasty meal packages at the Trapesa restaurant and other accompanying programs.

Meeting services
• There are room options for 5-15 person group work spaces and from meeting rooms for 60 people to conference rooms for 300 people.
• In addition to the quiet and bright rooms, the customer has access to the services of a competent meeting organizer, versatile audio-visual equipment and a wifi network. The cultural center also has a grand piano.
Meals
• The Trapesa café-restaurant is a 260-seat restaurant with A-license.
• Daily meals – breakfasts, lunches and dinners – are assembled from a home-cooked buffet. In addition, coffee, tea and snacks are available all day.
• Several festive meal packages and cabinets for groups of different sizes can be selected by order.
Program for a monastery visit
• Lectures and a monk's question hour. Lectures on Orthodoxy and monastic life, among other things.
• Guided tours can be directed to, for example, the monastery courtyard, the wine cellar, the sheep pastures or the monastery cemetery.
• The M/S Sergei ship cruises the waters near the monastery in the summer. The ship's home port is in Karvio.
• Nature trails and routes of various lengths run through the monastery's forests and surroundings.
• The monastery's services are open to everyone.
• The monastery's saunas are also available to guests upon request. A favorite in the summer is the lakeside sauna, which can accommodate about 7-8 people on its benches at a time.
• The Valamo Monastery shop Tuohus serves guests daily from morning to evening. The wine shop offers tourists the best local Finnish wines.
Exhibitions
• In the exhibition space of the Valamo Monastery, paintings by artist Petri Ala-Maunus meet angels from icons in the Valamo and Riisa collections.
• The monastery museum presents the history and ecclesiastical artifacts of the Valamon monastery.
• In addition, there are changing exhibitions in the monastery library and the college premises.
Accommodation
• Several options of different levels are available throughout the year: the monastery hotel and college hotel are complemented by ascetic guesthouses.
