The course is aimed specifically at young people who want to delve deeper into the spiritual heritage and theology of the Orthodox Church. On the course, you will learn the Jesus Prayer, the prayer of the heart, which can sustain you throughout life. At the same time, you will get acquainted with monastic life by participating in the daily life and obedience tasks of Valamo Monastery - right where faith is manifested as a concrete ascetic struggle. Discussions with the monastic community offer an opportunity to learn spiritual wisdom and receive answers to questions one carries in their heart. The lives of saints and their examples open up on the course as a source of inspiration - a demonstration of how Christ can be followed in this age, in one's own life.
