FRIENDS OF VALAMO ASSOCIATION
The Friends of Valamo Association, founded in 1973 to participate in the construction and maintenance costs of Valamo's main church, supports and promotes Valamo Monastery in cooperation with the monastery's abbot and brotherhood. The association's purpose is to support the construction and maintenance costs of Valamo Monastery, the acquisition and maintenance of ecclesiastical artifacts, and to promote cultural activities, knowledge of monastic tradition, and pilgrimage awareness. The association organizes monastery and pilgrimage trips, seminars, lectures, volunteer work (talkoot), and sales events.
The association is active in local chapters in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Lahti, Tampere, and Turku. The annual membership fee is €20. Membership benefits include the Valamon Ystävä magazine, published twice a year.

VALAMO HOUSING FOUNDATION
The Ksenia houses are located on the shore of Juurikkaselkä, approximately 300 meters from Valamo Monastery. The houses are owned by the Valamo Housing Foundation, which was jointly established by the municipality of Heinävesi and Valamo Monastery in 1988. There are three terraced houses on the shore, with a total of 15 rental apartments (2 rooms + kitchenette + sauna 36m2 or 2 rooms + kitchen + sauna 48m2). The apartments have individual electric heating.
The rental apartments are intended for individuals who embrace the Orthodox way of life and wish to live within the sphere of influence of the monastery. The purpose of the Valamo Housing Foundation's activities is to support and promote the maintenance of housing and residential communities for individuals who embrace the Orthodox way of life, to research and develop the living conditions of the elderly, and to revive the activities and traditions of village communities based on the Orthodox way of life.

VALAMO FOUNDATION
The Valamo Foundation was established at Valamo Monastery in Heinävesi on May 31, 1988. The foundation was established as one active part of Valamo's various communities, which, in addition to the monastery, include the conservation institute and library, the college, the Ksenia houses (Valamo Housing Foundation), and various associations, such as the Friends of Valamo Association and Valamo-Seura ry.
