The great feasts of the church year bring many pilgrims and guests fond of the Valamo atmosphere to Valamo every year. The peaceful atmosphere and atmospheric festive services create the best possible setting for celebrating the holidays. One can also visit the monastery for a day during the feast.

The Feast of the Baptism of Christ, or Theophany, celebrated on the sixth day of January, is the oldest feast in Christendom after Pascha.
