Traditional Procession of the Konevets Mother of God Icon to Lintula 8.7.2025

The traditional Procession of the Konevets Mother of God from Valamo to Lintula will take place this year, both on foot and by boat.

In Valamo, the day begins with a liturgy at 6:00 AM. After this, walkers will depart towards Lintula at 8:15 AM.

To Lintula and back from Valamo, you can travel by M/S Sergei boat or by Monastery taxi.

M/S Sergei

Departure from Valamo pier at 10 AM and return around 3:30 PM after the Akathist service.

Round trip 39€/person and one-way or return 29€/person.

Monastery taxi

Departure from Valamo at 10 AM, arrival in Lintula around 10:30 AM.

Return from Lintula around 4:30 PM, arrival in Valamo around 5:00 PM.

Round trip 30€, one-way or return 20 eur. 8 seats available.

The cruise and monastery taxi are paid at the monastery reception.

Please also inform us if you participate in the procession on foot.

In Lintula, there will be a prayer service around 1:00 PM and an opportunity for a meal (voluntary cash payment).

After the meal, an Akathist to the Mother of God will be performed around 2:30 PM in Lintula church.

Exceptionally, no Moleben will be served in Valamo during the day, and no Vespers in the evening, as this will be served during the return procession (by boat).
