Theophany at Valamo Monastery – a spiritual festive experience in the midst of winter peace

The major feasts of the church year bring many pilgrims and guests fond of the Valamo atmosphere to Valamo every year. The peaceful atmosphere and atmospheric festive services create the best possible setting for celebrating the holidays. It is also possible to visit the monastery for a day during the feast.

The Feast of the Baptism of Christ, or Theophany, celebrated on January sixth, is the oldest feast in Christendom after Easter.
