Valamo's Set Menus – culinary experiences for groups and celebrations
Trapesa serves conference and celebration guests year-round. Several festive meal packages are available, allowing you to linger with pleasure. Along with your meal, you can also enjoy the Monastery's own wines and liqueurs. The kitchen is happy to fulfill customers' wishes – for example, a soup lunch suitable for a family celebration with cake and coffee can be arranged by order at any time.
Cabinets for groups
You can add to the festive atmosphere by reserving one of Trapesa's cozy cabinets for your party:
- Emperor's Cabinet – for 20 people, atmospheric and picturesque
- Red Hall – for 50 people, spacious and festive
- Red Hall's Upper Hall (Yellow Hall) – for 40 people, peaceful and airy
Valamo's Set Menus
Valamo Monastery's kitchen offers set menus that are perfectly suited for groups, meetings, and family celebrations. The menus are based on monastic traditions as well as Finnish and international culinary culture. They combine simplicity, pure ingredients, and heartfelt hospitality.

Gravlax salmon, Slavic herring, smoked salmon or smoked vendace, roe jelly, smoked venison, rowan berry jelly, pickled cucumbers with sour cream and honey, sauerkraut, mushroom salad, green salad, and Karelian pies.
Beef or sour cream fish. One shared main course option.

Trapesa's Zakuska Buffet is a more casual and lighter alternative to a Slavic dinner.

The Tea Table is a modern version of the old Valamo's Tea Table, developed with respect for tradition.
Tea and raspberry jam, pickled cucumbers with sour cream and honey, salmon pie, cabbage pie, loaf cake, biscuits, sweets, and fruits.
