This workshop invites you to quiet down and look at yourself more gently. During the weekend, we will explore our own emotions, self-image, and inner dialogue through exercises and discussions. The culmination of the workshop is when the instructor photographs each participant, creating empowering photos that reflect their inner strength and beauty. The photos are captioned positively, and participants receive the photos on USB sticks. The course does not require prior experience in photography. The most important thing is the desire to face oneself and be seen gently.

The idea of the workshop is to make you pay attention to the things that are good in life. The idea of empowering photography helps you look at yourself gently, bringing out different aspects of yourself. The workshop assignments help you reflect on yourself, your hopes, and your dreams. In the workshop, you are allowed to dream and forget worries and troubles. In the workshop, you can focus peacefully on yourself and your well-being. The course price includes written materials for exercises and empowering photography, empowering photos for all participants beautifully packaged on a USB stick (10 photos/participant), and poems for participants. The workshop instructor is Hannele Räty, an entrepreneur and one who makes people visible, who is a Bachelor of Social Services (UAS) and a practical nurse by profession. She has studied the professional fundamentals of empowering photography.

Teacher

Räty Hannele Räty

I am Hannele Räty, an entrepreneur and a person who makes people visible. I have a BA in Social Work and a registered nurse by profession and have studied the professional foundations of empowering photography. I have spent over 20 years of my working career before entrepreneurship in the social services sector.

My company, Voimaa kuvista, produces well-being services using the empowering photography method. I have been able to accompany my clients on numerous journeys to witness how the invisible becomes visible again, first for themselves and, little by little, for others as well. It has been wonderful to help people look at themselves differently, more kindly and notice all the wonderful things that we all have. To notice how unique we all are.

By nature, I am happy, open, genuine and approachable. My strength is genuine encounters. I love people's stories and it is wonderful to hear what life has brought you.

Photography has been a beloved hobby of mine for a long time. I have photographed a lot and when I move with my camera I feel that a new world opens up before me. Photographs have helped me in self-examination and clarifying my thoughts. Photographs give me strength and remind me of how much beauty and goodness there is around me. Photographs have opened knots in me and made me believe that there is power in pictures!

And I want to convey this same feeling to you too.
