Fur Quilt Course 8/2027

In this course, you can make yourself warm fur quilts from sheepskins. One or two sheepskins make either a small quilt for a sofa, a sleeping bag for a baby, or a rocking chair mat. Three sheepskins make a nice throw blanket, and 4–6 sheepskins are enough for full-sized quilts. We sew the quilts traditionally by hand with a leather needle and waxed linen thread. The finished quilts are decorated by printing, alternatively, you can attach, for example, wool fabric to the leather side. If you have your own sheepskins or acquire them yourself, pay attention to the softness of the leather and the cleanliness of the leather side. Sheepskins and other supplies (leather needles, linen thread, thimble, scissors) can be purchased from the instructor. A material fee of 30 euros will be charged for printing. You have access to nearly 200 wooden stamps (fjellform.no), paints, and all other materials needed for printing. A more detailed course letter will be sent to those who have registered.
