Icon Painting for Young People 6/2027

If you like history, religion, and art, this is your course! We will paint an icon with egg tempera technique and genuine natural pigments. No prior knowledge or skills are required. You can join even if you have painted before. The course is suitable for 14–20-year-olds. Kata has taught a youth icon group in Espoo since 2015. The course price includes paints and brushes, as well as one panel. The instructor is icon painter Katarina Koskivaara-Ilmonen. The course receives support from the Orthodox Church of Finland. Attention grandmas and godparents: this course is a nice and different gift idea for a young person! The course instruction begins on June 28, with accommodation for the preceding night included in the course price; any meals on June 27 are paid at normal prices at Trapesa. The course is specially priced, and no other discounts are granted. The language of instruction is Finnish.
