Easter Market at Valamo Monastery on Saturday 28.3.2026

Valamo Monastery is organizing the Easter Market on Saturday 28.3.2026 from 10:00 to 16:00 in the Cultural Center Hall. The event offers a comfortable setting for both sellers and visitors.

We want to support artisans, artists, and local producers – our partners. Therefore, the sales spot is free for participants.

On the same day, a new Rudolf Koivu ‑ A Fairytale Illustrator -art exhibition also opens, bringing many culture enthusiasts to Valamo and increasing the market's visibility.

On its opening day, the exhibition is open from 15:00 to 18:00 (invited guests from 14:00 to 15:00). Admission 12 € / adult. Under 18 years old free. The same ticket also grants admission to the Monastery Museum.

From 11:00-17:00 The buffet is available at Restaurant Trapesa (16 € / person)

12:00 Moleben, opportunity to participate in a prayer service in the monastery's main church

Restaurant Trapesa, Tuohus Shop, and the wine shop are open until 18:00. 

18:00 Opportunity to participate in the vigil service in the monastery's main church. The blessing of willow branches will be performed during the service.

Book your sales spot in advance!

For the market, you can reserve a sales spot, as well as a sales table and chair, free of charge. The table size is 60 cm x 140 cm.

Please state your main sales items in the message or by phone, as vendor selections are made based on product offerings. Please note that there are no flea market items at the Easter Market; we hope for new or self-made products suitable for the theme.
