Course description

The course creates images using mineral granules and stone crumbs. During the course, students will make one or two paintings. The main material is mineral granules, which are obtained from different and different colored rocks and minerals, by crushing and separating them through screens of different densities into several fractions (coarseness classes). The painting base is a hardboard, which is primed with marble powder, and the binder is an adhesive mixture. Then, the desired subject is planned and sketched on the base with a pencil, which is then worked on by scattering mineral granules and “crushing”. An abstract subject made with mineral granules also works well. The course teaches the different stages of the method and also teaches how to make the crumbs yourself. Hardboard bases, adhesive mixtures and priming marbles are included in the course price.
