Welcome to the spinning course, where learning, doing together, and a relaxed atmosphere combine. On the course, spinning wheels will whir and spindles will turn – the most important thing is to share time with other spinners and enjoy the joy of making. The spinning retreat also provides space for deeper discussions. Thoughts that arise while spinning can lead to contemplating life, values, and spiritual themes – everyone can participate in discussions according to their own desire and courage.

The Course is suitable for both beginners and experienced spinners. If needed, you will learn the basics of spinning: raw wool processing, carding, spinning with a wheel and spindle, as well as plying yarn, winding a skein, and washing. If you are already an experienced spinner, you can focus on your own project, exchange tips, and get inspiration from others.

Bring your own spinning wheel, spindle, and cards, if you have them – but equipment is also available for loan on site. If desired, a spindle can be purchased from the Teacher – Payment in cash.

Instructor: handicraft advisor, weaving artisan Päivi Lemmetyinen, assisted by hieromonk Rafael. The language of instruction is Finnish.

On this Course, the Epassi mobile application can be used as a payment method.
