Icon Painting Advanced Course: Female Saints 8/2026

The course is suitable for those with basic knowledge of icon painting and those who have already practiced icon painting to some extent. The Orthodox tradition knows a vast number of moving and impactful female destinies: martyrs, those who performed apostolic work, monastic ascetics, rulers. On this course, you can freely choose the subject to be painted from the Synaxarion's extensive list of holy women. If a suitable model is missing, the icon's composition can be built during the course. Supplies and materials, such as icon boards and pigments, can be purchased from the institute. The course instruction begins on August 15. Accommodation for the preceding night is included in the course price; any meals on August 14 are paid at normal prices in the Trapeza.
