Advanced Icon Painting Course: Subject Raising of Lazarus or Palm Sunday 2/2027

These two optional icon themes deepen the journey to Pascha; to Christ's coming suffering, death, and resurrection. Holy Lazarus Saturday is celebrated on the day before Palm Sunday. The raising of Lazarus from the dead gives hope for the future resurrection of us all. The Savior's entry into Jerusalem, Palm Sunday, guides us to follow His path to Heavenly Jerusalem. In icon theology lectures, we will delve into the visual narrative of these icons through images. Please note that those under 35 years old receive a 40 percent discount on icon painting course fees. The teacher is iconographer Alexander Wikström. The language of instruction is Finnish.
