Basic Course in Choral Conducting 7/2026

In the basic course in choral conducting, the fundamentals of a choir conductor's skills are studied in a supportive atmosphere. Instruction includes beat technique, choir score reading, and tips for choir rehearsal. The course is suitable for everyone interested in choral conducting. No prior choral conducting experience is required, but experience in choir singing is beneficial. Instruction takes place in group settings, and the course's practice choir is formed by the participants themselves. The instructor is Saara Aittakumpu, Lecturer in Choral Conducting at the Sibelius Academy.

Tuesday 7.7.

Arrival and registration at the reception, dining from the Café-Restaurant Trapesa buffet, which is available until 5:00 PM. Accommodation is possible after 4:00 PM.
