The course is intended for everyone who wants to learn the basics of hand-sewn textile applique and create unique textile artworks, for example, from used textiles. During the course, you will learn about material selection, how to transfer patterns, precise cutting, and how to combine parts using various hand-sewn stitches. In addition, you will design and create your own compositions. On this course, you will learn the basic techniques of hand applique and create your own works, while developing your creativity, precision, and eye for detail. The course instructor is craft artist Irina Hirvonen. The language of instruction is Finnish.
