Course description

The Orthodox Church year in August includes two great feasts: the Transfiguration of Christ – which is the annual feast of Valamo Monastery – and Uspenie, the Dormition of the Mother of God. You can choose the subject of the icon to be painted on the course from these two. In addition to practical work and guidance, we will go through the theological content of these icons. The course is best suited for those who have been painting icons for a longer time. Please note that those under 35 years old receive a 40 percent discount on the price of icon painting courses.
