Welcome to an interesting trip to Valamo Monastery!

The best way to experience the monastery's atmosphere and tranquility is by staying overnight or longer. Throughout the year, there are several options of varying standards: the room selection of the Monastery Hotel and Institute Hotel is complemented by ascetic guesthouses.

The overnight trip program includes culture, shopping, the ambiance of the Wine Room, and delicacies from Restaurant Trapesa. Rudolf Koivu - A Fairytale Illustrator -exhibition in Valamo from March 29 to December 31, 2026.

Trip Highlights:
• Guided monastery tour, where you will get acquainted with the main church and the old church, as well as the history and present day of the monastery
• Independent visit to the exhibition and the Monastery Museum
• Buffet meal at Restaurant Trapesa
• During a visit to the Wine Room, you will hear the story of the winery and get to taste products from the monastery's production
• Time for shopping at the wine and souvenir shop and Trapesa; pastries, books, music, delicacies, and much more
• Valamo Tea Table is a modern version of old Valamo's tea table, developed with respect for tradition.

The overnight trip includes a guided monastery tour, exhibitions, a buffet meal, a wine tour, Valamo Tea Table in the evening, as well as accommodation and a monastery breakfast.
