Our program suggestion for groups of 15-25 people:

Day 1: Hearty Rääkkylä

• Arriving in Rääkkylä at Sari Kaasinen's cultural home Villa Ruusula
• Karelian pie workshop, Karelian soup lunch or sapuska, and a kantele master in an hour workshop and concert
• Transfer to Valamo to Heinävesi, dinner at the restaurant Trapesa

Day 2: Enchanted by Valamo

• Breakfast in Valamo
• Guided monastery tour, introduction to the monastery museum and exhibition, lunch from the buffet, wine tour and tastings, shopping in the shop and departure coffees
• Transfer to Joensuu and accommodation at the Apartment Hotel Lietsu
• Information about Karelian culinary tradition and Karelian dinner
• Sauna opportunity in the sauna with a river view in Lietsu

Day 3: Strolling around the river city

• Karelian local food breakfast at Hotel Lietsu
• Exploring the Eliel Museum with a guide and strolling through the boutiques of the Taitokortteli
• Soup lunch and departure home
• If you wish, for an additional fee, exploring other Joensuu attractions such as the art garden Botania
