Icon Painting Advanced Course: Face Highlighting 9/2026

The holy face is the core of every icon. There are numerous different face highlighting methods, although from the finished result, it is not necessarily possible to analyze how the icon, as an image of light, visibly grows from shadow to light. During the course, we will delve into four different highlighting techniques through theory and step-by-step exercises; this way you will find the method best suited for you. Alongside the highlighting exercise series, you can paint your actual icon. The course is best suited for both those who have painted a little and those who have already progressed further.
