Welcome to learn how to build a traditional fence! The course covers all stages of traditional fence material preparation and fence erection. We collect spruce saplings, split withes for binding, prepare fence posts and rails, sharpen upright stakes, which are also charred. Finally, we select the fence materials for construction and erect the traditional fence together. The traditional fence created as part of the course will permanently form part of the Monastery's surroundings. A traditional fence is built at the Monastery for sheep pastures. The course Teacher is Father Rafael, a hieromonk of the Monastery, who is responsible for sheep care, pasture fence construction and maintenance at the Monastery. He has learned traditional fence building on site at the Monastery, guided by traditional fence masters, through hard work and diligence! Special price, no other discounts apply. The language of instruction is Finnish.

ePassi can be used for paying for this course.
